Out of 3942 submissions from 50 countries, Kairos Design has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award for the 2021 MUSE Creative Awards competition. The firm received this recognition for their submission in the App Category for OE Acronyms.
“I’m very proud of our team for winning such a prestigious award,” said creative director Sean Kim. “Even so, I’m most proud of our ability to listen to and work with our client. Our success wouldn’t have been possible without their trust, and our team worked hard to prioritize communication and collaboration with them on this project.”
The MUSE Creative and MUSE Design Awards are global competitions, which seek to commemorate the exemplary creative and design professionals of various industries. “There is a saying that ‘there is nothing new under the sun,” said Kenjo Ong, CEO of IAA. “It couldn’t be any further from the truth – there is always something fresh and exciting from the competitors every year.”
To ensure entries are fairly assessed, a jury panel consisting of top industry experts is set up. IAA further implements a set of strict standards for jurors to judge with. The 2021 panel consists of a team of 44 multidisciplinary professionals, with some jurors reprising their roles. IAA’s recent awards had invited jurors from 23 countries, who represent companies such as DNgroup Aps, Huawei, UArchitects, MullenLowe, FCB Chicago, Facebook, and ONU/UN WOMEN.
MUSE entries were gauged in accordance to their respective industry’s best standards. Submissions go through blind judging, where their qualities and concepts were assessed from creative and design standpoints. Winners were then selected based at the culmination of the judging process, who had best met the competition criteria.
Known brand and international franchises were represented in this year’s awards. The exemplary works submitted reflect the quality these companies are known to have. Entries submitted by agencies for companies and brands such as Subaru USA, Riot Games, Cineplex, BBC Studio Events, KFC, Burberry Beauty, Hyundai, Jo Malone London, Mondelez International, Inc. (OREO), Disney+ SG, CVS, IFFCO UAE, Thompson Dallas, Lynk & Co, Sime Darby Property Berhad, and Yamaha Motor Company, are among some of the winners from this year’s awards.
“Our platform exists to promote and encourage excellence in different bodies of professionals in varying industries,” Ong said. “Given the recent pandemic, the team in IAA is continuously humbled by the sheer perseverance and willpower shown by people in overcoming the odds in their respective industries. As long as this platform exists, we will continue to sing praises of those who in adversity displayed their mettle, embodying excellence regardless of their environment.”
This is not the first time Kairos Design has been honored with this prestigious award. The agency won a Gold Award in 2018 for their work with The Macula Foundation, another Gold Award in 2019 for their work with VRMNY, and another Gold Award in 2020 for their work with MEK Review.
